Be the Protagonist of Your Own Life (Narrative Improv)

If you are interested in seeing me perform Improv we recorded one of our sets this week. This form is called Narrative Longform. The goal of the form is to tell an improvised story. And yes, it’s completely made up on the spot!

In this form, how you determine who the protagonist is by who makes a choice to change a pattern. I got nerdily excited about this form as I love the intersection of life and art. How do we know we are the protagonist of our own life? Because we make conscious choices, rather than living our lives just responding to things happening to us.

The day of this show, I’d had a long day and was really out of it so I (chose to) play a character who was really out of it and weird. It worked great!
