Ironically Timed Lenten Devo
A Lenten devotional book I contributed to came in the mail today. Ironic, since I gave up church for Lent. Also ironic it came the day my seminary class in Scotland got canceled.
As I re-read the entry I wrote, I remember how I thought it’d get cut, because I fictionalized the story of Jesus dying between two thieves.I also thought I wouldn’t end up graduating four years ago when I included pill-popping and The Matrix in my capstone presentation.
As it happens, I’m a seminary grad who studies the Bible and teaches the gospel for a living, but I still don’t get it sometimes (mosttimes).
